You don’t! Instead, your plan will immediately go into effect after enrolling. You have the option of signing up online through our portal or in our office. Either way will activate your membership plan.
What Is the Most Effective Way to Schedule Preventive Dental Care?
All you need to do to properly maintain your smile is call our office to set up your appointment. You can also request an appointment online. Once we confirm the status of your membership, we will get you scheduled for your next visit.
How Can I Use My Discounts Most Effectively?
One great advantage of your plan is that all preventive services (i.e., dental checkups, cleanings, X-rays, etc.) are included in the monthly fee you will pay. When calling to schedule an appointment, let us know that you’re a member, and we will verify your plan status so that we can apply appropriate savings.
Will You Tell Me Which Plan I Need?
Yes, you can trust that our dental team will discuss which type of plan will work best for you. For example, if you are a new patient and show signs of gum disease during your initial examination, we will likely suggest that you enroll in our periodontal plan. Otherwise, as a current patient, you can call to confirm that you are being recommended for periodontal maintenance.
Is It Possible to Add Family to My Plan?
Yes, you can add your family members to your plan. All you need to do is call our office or sign up online.
Is It Possible to Transfer My Membership to Another Dental Office?
No, your membership is only for use in our Dental Designs of Maryland offices.
Is There a Way to Cancel My Membership?
Yes, you just need to contact our office and a member of our team will help you.
Will I Receive a Refund if I Cancel My Membership?
Unfortunately, no. We cannot issue refunds for dues paid. This means that even if you fail to schedule or maintain your appointments, you will not receive a refund when canceling.
What Exclusions or Limitations Exist?

You cannot use your membership with dental insurance or for a referral to see a specialist.

You cannot use it for hospitalization or any charges that are accrued.

It cannot be used for the cost of dental care that would normally be covered by an automobile insurance claim or worker’s compensation.

Your membership cannot be used on treatment that lies outside the capabilities of your dentist, based on their opinion.

It cannot be used for treatment covered by a dental, medical, or worker’s compensation plan.

It cannot be used toward Invisalign treatment, cosmetic treatment, teeth whitening (in-office), or purchasing dental products.
