Get to Know Joshua Metzger, DDS, MS
Dr. Joshua Metzger, DDS, MS is our in-house periodontist in Hanover who was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland. He went to the University of Maryland at College Park, participated in the scholars program, and graduated Cum Laude in 2007 with a B.S. in physiology/neurobiology. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and through his experience as a dental student, his interests in periodontology, dental implantology, and periodontal prosthetics grew early and rapidly. Immediately following dental school, he began a three-year periodontics residency with a combined master’s program also at the University of Maryland. In addition to advanced clinical training, he also taught and conducted research at the university. His last focus was the completion of a two-year, part-time clinical fellowship in dental implant periodontal prosthetics with an aim to provide additional experience with the successful planning and completion of complex cases.
In his spare time, he loves to play golf and enjoys other warm-weather activities, especially involving the beach and water. He is a passionate Ravens and Orioles fan as well and enjoys attending games at the stadiums year-round!
